HAZARD: A VSC employee was installing the 6 inch steel pipe located above the ladder. The employee was standing on the second step of the folding ladder, reaching overhead, while manually maneuvering the 6 inch pipe through the pipe hanger.

Electrical Safety – Shock Hazard – Alarm Panel
Hazard: Electrical Shock. Alarm technicians are accessing live (active) alarm panels for testing and servicing. The 120V electrical supply to the panel board is live and does not have any type of insulating cover. THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD.

Hazard: Over the next few months as temperatures increases so does your risk of heat illness. Outdoor exposure to sunlight, crawl spaces, attics, and other enclosed unventilated spaces put VSC employees at high risk. Physical activity when working in these environments causes our bodies to overheat and can result in serious illness.
