Safety Team

Royce Cummings has been a part of the team since late 2019. He has over 12 years of experience in the construction, mining, oil & gas and manufacturing sectors. Within VSC, he focus on leadership, training/development, and emphasis on field development as it pertains to safety. Royce is able to effectively present requirements and influence positively at all levels within organizations providing desired outcomes, effective solutions and improvements.

Tony Knorr has been a part of the insurance, risk and safety arena for more than 30 years. At VSC, he focuses on the details to identify the issues and to create a safety culture that focuses on eliminating those unsafe behaviors that lead to losses.

Chad joined VSC in 2021 with the goal to improve and modernize our fleet program. With years of experience in the field, he continues to make progress towards that goal.

Covering operations for Richmond Sprinkler and Richmond Integrated Systems

Paula joined VSC in 2023 and manages safety requirements on client platforms, our safety policies, documents, training material, and OSHA logs. Paula has been in People and Operations Management since 1998, in construction, manufacturing, medical, retail, safety, and security industries, ranging from field management to chief of medical operations roles. No longer practicing medicine, she brings her years of Safety knowledge in OSHA Standards and HSE SOPs, with a knack for applying and teaching them in layman’s terms. Her goal is still the same as it was as a medic, to support and protect the health and safety of others.

Covering operations in Atlanta, Mobile, Birmingham, Houston, Orlando, and Tampa.

I’ve been with VSC for over 3 years, I started with VSC in VA and currently live in the GA area. I have over 10 years in Safety working in various General Industry and Construction roles, as well as experience with environmental compliance. I enjoy teaching and educating others on the safety and ensuring everyone understands the importance of going home each and every day.

Adrian Wilson has been in construction since graduating in 2022 from the University of Central Oklahoma. He began his career as a project engineer, primarily focused on the production side of projects, while also applying his background and degree in safety to tasks that naturally aligned with his role. He later transitioned to a site safety manager position, overseeing all trades on site and driving efficiency through proactive safety leadership and coordination. Adrian brings a robust background in general contracting, with extensive experience overseeing diverse trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC. Adrian has successfully helped managed large-scale projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality standards. Recently, Adrian transitioned to VSC Fire & Security in June 2025, Adrian anticipates bringing in high quality energy and efficiency to VSC Fire & Security.

Michael Eugene (Mike) has been with the company since 2024. Mike has been in the safety field since 2019 with a background in General Industry. Mike has heavy experience with powered industrial trucks, mobile work platforms, workplace safety, and others.

Covering the Salem office

Chris Preston has been in the fire sprinkler industry since he was 18. Chris has experience in foam systems, special hazard systems, deluge systems, and fire pumps, has his OSHA 30 and is certified for backflows. Prior to becoming the Safety Coordinator for VSC Chris was a Foreman out of the Salem office for VSC. Altogether Chris has about 25 years in the trade. Chris was also a volunteer firefighter for Roanoke County for about five years. Chris is hoping to make a difference and keep our men and woman out in the field safe so each one goes home safe to their families every day.

Daniel joined the VSC Charlotte team in late October 2025.  He has over 25 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety in general industries, and over 10 years of experience in operations, human resources, and warehouse management.  He has extensive training and skills in OSHA, EPA, and DOT compliance and has led stormwater (SWPPP) & spill prevention (SPCC) compliance initiatives, inspections, audits, and employee training.  A retired engineer and firefighter for Kannapolis, NC, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling abroad.
