Do not use small diameter or elastic string or twine to tie down equipment on trucks.
The string does not have the tinsel strength to properly secure equipment and will deteriorate and break over sharp edges as can be seen in this photo. This is a potential road hazard that can result in serious injury or vehicle damage.
Corrective action:
Use appropriate tie down straps and replace them immediately when damaged.
